The Celestial Way

What is Celestial Way?

Celestial way (Tian Dao) is a faith that show and brings us the true way to heaven (Tian). Dao is a Chinese character that is translated as the way or the truth. But the true meaning of Dao transcends beyond words. Dao exists before the creation of heaven and earth. Dao is also the root of all religion. As Lao-Tzu in Tao Teh Ching Chapter 22 explained "Before the universe was born there was something in the chaos of the heavens. It stands alone and empty, solitary and unchanging. It is ever present and secure. It may be regarded as the Mother of the universe. Because I do not know its name, I call it the Tao. If forced to give it a name, I would call it The Great."

The creator of humankind is our God, or we called as the Venerable Mother. It is the fundamental of every religion to bring us back to heaven, to our Venerable Mother that create us.

Dao is not a religion/belief that was just created recently (see The Apostolic Line of The Celestial Way). Dao is the only true way that can bring us back to heaven. It is the same path that all the gods, deities and saints took to go back to heaven. Long ago, not all people can attain Dao; people had to meditate for many years, done good merits and served human kind for a long time before he can attain the true way. If we look at the history of all holy men, and saints, we all will find a common thing, they have to endure long hardship and sacrifice many things included their lives in order to attain enlightenment. This is what is called cultivation/meditation to attain enlightenment.

Why Dao is widely propagated today?

This is because now we are in the White Era or era of destruction. It is as the autumn season, where the fruit has ripen and waited to be harvested. We also called it the Harvesting Time of Ethereal Fruit. Morality of people has decline from day to day. If we look at the world around us, we’ll find: theft, robbery, killing, looting and all the evil things that people can think of. Natural disaters happen everywhere: drought, floods, earthquakes. Human-made disasters: greenhouse effect, depletion of rain forests, ozone hole in our atmosphere. What does this tell us? As Jesus said in the Matthew 13: 39 " The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels".

But the mercy of the Venerable Mother has descended the Celestial way to humankind so they can be saved from all disasters and calamities and so that we can all return to the side of our creator.

Now we can attain the invaluable Dao directly without having to cultivate first, this is what we called Enlightenment before Cultivation.

Why do we need to receive Dao?

As The Fifth Patriarch, Hung Jen, explained in Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch "You disciples make offerings and say prayings all day long and only seek the field of blessings, but you do not seek the way to escape the bitter sea of life and death. Your own self-nature obscures the gateway to blessings, how can you be saved?"

How Dao can bring us back to heaven?

A living human is made up of two constituents: the physical body and soul. Our physical body is the mortal self that only exists in this world, while our true self the soul is immortal. Our soul is our true self, different religions called it by different name:

Tao Teh Ching 6 " The Valley Spirit is immortal. It is called the Great Mother because it gives birth to Heaven and Earth."

James 2:26 : " The body without a spirit is dead"

Romans 8:6 " To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirits results in life and Peace"

So what happen after we die? Our mortal body may stop working and decompose, but our true self must return to Venerable Mother. By receiving Dao, we can find our true self and shown the right and true way for us to return to heaven.

How to attain Dao?

To attain the invaluable Dao, one has to seek the Way by being initiated by Master Initiator that legitimately holds a "Celestial mandate" so that The Master can transmit the precious Three Treasures. The celestial mandate has an apostolic line that extends back to the earliest time. Initiation is valid only if it summons the name of the reigning holder of the apostolic mandate.

On Maitreya Buddha

"Now in those days, brethren, there shall arise in the world an Exalted One by name Maitreya. A Buddha, a Fully Enlightened One, gifted with wisdom and righteousness, a Happy One, a World-knower, the Peerless Charioteer of men to be tamed, a teacher of the gods and mankind, an Exalted One, a Buddha like myself. He of His own abnormal powers shall realize and make known the world, and the worlds of the gods, with their Maras, their Brahmas, the host of recluses and brahmins, of gods and mankind alike, even as I do now. He shall proclaim the norm, lovely in its beginning, lovely in its middle, and lovely in the end thereof. He shall make known the wholly perfect life of righteousness in all its purity, both in the spirit and in the letter of it, even as I do now. He shall lead an Order of Brethren numbering many thousands, even as I do now lead an order of Brethren numbering many hundreds."
(Buddha Gautama, DIGHA NIKAYA)
